Hein Roth is a highly accomplished Australian-registered psychologist with over 40 years of experience. After earning a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of North West in South Africa in 1983, Hein has built an exceptional career specializing in psychological trauma, including PTSD, vicarious trauma, complex PTSD, phobias, anxiety, and mood disorders.

Hein practiced as a Counselling Psychologist in South Africa for 18 years, including several years of full-time service with the South African Medical Services during the Border War. This provided him with invaluable expertise in managing a wide range of trauma-related conditions.

In 2001, Hein relocated to New Zealand, where he continued his work as a registered psychologist in a consulting capacity. A significant part of his practice focused on suicide identification and prevention, particularly within New Zealand's farming communities.

Hein is also a proud member of the EMDR International Association.

Known for his warm, approachable, and professional demeanor, Hein offers psychotherapeutic services both in person and remotely via video or telephone consultations, ensuring accessibility for individuals in remote communities.

Please note, unfortunately, Mr Roth is unable to see children 14 years old or younger.

Mr Roth charges $200 for a standard 60-minute appointment and concession card holders will get a reduced rate of $130.
